SG MAN HIGH ON GLUE THREATENS TO STAB PREGNANT WIFE

The case revealed that at 2 AM on January 12 this year, Just when the victim returned home, she saw the defendant 27-year-old Su Yong Le sitting in the living room sniffing superglue. Later, the defendant quarrelled with his wife because he could not find any more superglue.

The 27-year-old Su Yong Le faced a total of 13 charges, the defendant pleaded guilty yesterday (June 30) and was sentenced to 21 months in prison.

During the quarrel, the defendant went to the kitchen to cut his left arm with a 15 cm long knife. The police were alerted.

When the police arrived, the defendant prevented his wife from opening the door and threatened her with a knife and said if she opened the door he would stab her and the child in her abdomen.

Then he waved a knife to prevent his wife from opening the door for the police to enter, otherwise, they would put her in his stomach. The husband was arrested on the spot. The wife insisted on opening the door, and the police entered the house and arrested him.

The prosecutor alleged that the defendant ignored the presence of the police and threatened his pregnant wife in front of the police, while still holding a knife in his hand.

In addition to other crimes committed by him, the prosecutor believed that he must be severely punished and urged the judge to sentence him to two years in prison.
