A 19-year-old YP purportedly broke into the Rhino enclosure at the Singapore Zoo just to film a TikTok video, where he did a backflip.
He was charged earlier today (12 July) with criminal trespass for his actions, as well as vandalism and mischief that are unrelated to this incident.
What happened?
The YP, @ralphwee_ on TikTok, had allegedly trespassed into the white rhinocerous enclosure on 17 December 2020 at around 5.20pm.
He was allegedly filmed by his companion, an 18-year-old girl.
He then jumped over the barrier of the enclosure and does a backflip inside, before jumping back onto the pathway for visitors.
After the video went viral, he then purportedly tried to sell merchandise through an account that was allegedly created by him, under the moniker “rhino.ralph”.
The account’s caption read: “They hate us cus they ain’t us.”
