KTV MANAGER SAYS INFECTED SOCIAL HOSTESS WAS A CUSTOMER, NOT WORKER

The manager of one of the affected outlets of the KTV cluster, Mr Li from Supreme KTV, said that the infected social hostess who was at his outlet was not an employee, but a customer.

He said that he only found out of the infected social hostess being among his customers after MOH notified them of a confirmed case there.

He added:

“These girls have been to so many places, whether they got infected at (Supreme KTV) is unclear.”

“For us, having customers is already a very good thing. Why would we go out of our way to check on their identities.”

He added that he is worried about the cluster cases and fears the efforts of the last year will all go to waste as the industry has been awaiting the reopening of nightclubs and KTV lounges.
