The Ministry of Health addressed the recent death of a 16-year-old boy, where it was alleged that the boy had suffered a “vaccine related severe adverse event”.
MOH said in a Facebook post that his death was not vaccine related.
MOH said:
“We are aware of speculation in Facebook, Telegram and WhatsApp chatgroups featuring an obituary that has led to conjecture that a teenager passed away from a COVID-19 vaccine-related severe adverse event.
We wish to clarify that the demise mentioned in these posts and messages was not vaccine-related.
We urge the public not to spread unsubstantiated information which may add to the family’s grief or cause public alarm unnecessarily. Please visit www.moh.gov.sg for the latest updates on the COVID-19 situation.”
