SEC 4 BOY FROM RIVER VALLEY ARRESTED, TO BE CHARGED WITH MURDER OF SEC 1 BOY

The shocking assault that took place earlier today at River Valley High School that allegedly resulted in a Secondary 1 boy being killed, took the newsrooms by storm.

A Secondary 4 boy from the school had allegedly used an axe to hack the Secondary 1 boy to death.

The axe has been seized by the police.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by SCDF paramedics, he was found lying motionless with multiple wounds at a toilet.

The 16-year-old alleged perpetrator, a male Singaporean teenager, has been arrested by the police for his suspected involvement in the victim’s death.

He will be charged in court tomorrow (20 July) with murder, with a view of seeking an order from the court to remand the teen for psychiatric assessment.

What happened?

The police received a call for help at 6 Boon Lay Avenue earlier today (19 July) at around 11.40am.

Officers arrived and found the 13-year-old victim lying motionless at the toilet with multiple wounds.

Preliminary investigations revealed that both teenagers didn’t know each other.

To our understanding, the full facts of the case are yet to be ascertained and police investigations are currently ongoing.
