
The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 195 COVID-19 cases in Singapore yesterday (July 20).
Among the announcement of cases, two markets have been found with confirmed cases.
- Chong Pang Market: 10 cases
- Haig Road Market & Food Centre: 25 cases
MOH is investigating cases of COVID-19 infection involving markets and food centres which are likely seeded by fishmongers who visited Jurong Fishery Port.
To break the chain of transmission and enable deep cleaning of the premises, Haig Road Market & Food Centre and Chong Pang Market will be closed to all members of the public from 21 July to 4 August 2021.
Unvaccinated cases in serious condition
332 cases are currently warded in hospital. Most are well and under observation. There are currently 5 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 1 in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU). None of these 6 cases is fully vaccinated.
