
According to a media release, the Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft in a dwelling.
In a span of 4 days between24 to 28 July 2021,Coin dispenser machines at laundromats around Singapore were reportedly tampered with, and cash was taken from the machines, said the Police.
Officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division and the Bedok Police Division determined the man’s identify and detained him on July 28, 2021, based on ground investigations and pictures from police cameras and CCTVs. According to preliminary investigations, the guy is suspected of being engaged in other theft instances.
The man will be charged in court on 30 July 2021 with theft in dwelling, under Section 380 of the Penal Code.
The offence of theft in dwelling carries an imprisonment term which may extend to seven years and a fine.
