SDA CAN ENTER HOMES WITHOUT WARRANT – KF SEETOH ASK HOW COME S’POREANS GOT NO SAY

Following URA’s revelation that Safe Distancing officers can enter homes without warrants to check for Covid-19 breaches; the founder of Makansutra, KF Seetoh, has taken to his Facebook to question their powers.

He asked: “How did we arrive at this summary law without anyone citizen or otherwise, having a say. This is draconian and offers no guarantee in results.”

He added that it is an “absolute raid on (our) privacy in the sanctity of (our) home.”

He warned that if a clueless distant neighbour or prankster made a complaint about 6 people in your homes (when you actually have 6 family members living there), they will come and bang on your door.

He asked: “How did we get here. I did not sign up for this. Did you?”

He beseeched people to have a chat with their MP and share their views online.
