First time seeing this.. even as a human i can hear the ringing sound and it hurt my ears.. is it safe for cats?
What wrong Singapore nowadays…we were once ok having stray birds/cats/chickens around but now feed the birds/chicken kena fines and now stray cat can’t roam the blocks….might as well u put a tracking device on strays
HUH??? why would they do that?? Can repellent crazy human mind or not??? that would be better!
It doesn’t harm the cats, it just emits the irritating sound to keep them away. This is probably put there cos of residents complaining about community cats peeing/marking the corridors or yowling.
After some time, the cats might just find somewhere else to hang out. This is a better alternative than having the cats relocated, or worse, removed by pest control.

It is motion censored triggered so will only go off once someone or the cat passes. It’s one of the humane methods used to deter the cat from complaining resident. It enables the cat to remain there and not be removed and culled.
