21-year-old Shamaya Lynn, a young mother in Florida, was shot dead by her baby live on a Zoom video-conference meeting.
She was in her home having a Zoom meeting with her colleagues when she suddenly fell backwards.
According to Orlando Sentinel, one of her colleagues who witnessed the incident, said that they heard a loud “kabloom” through the computer, followed by Lynn with her face covered in blood.
They tried to call out her name repeatedly to elicit a response but she was non-responsive.
The manager who was on the call with the group then tried to find Lynn’s address, and one of them called the police.
Officers soon arrived at the house and found her with a gunshot wound to the head, with her toddler being found with a handgun which was loaded and unsecured in the home.
The officers then determined that the toddler fired the shot.
The gun reportedly belonged to the baby’s father.
Investigations are ongoing at the time of writing, with the toddler unharmed and being cared for by relatives.
