
Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong spoke on National Day Rally(Aug 29) stating how they can help the livelihood of local lower-wage workers.

Firms that recruit overseas workers will be required to pay all of their Singapore employees at least S$1,400 per month, according to the government.
The Progressive Wage Model will be applied to a broader range of employees and industries.
Accreditation will be given to companies that pay progressive salaries.
Consumers will have to share the greater costs in order for workers to receive better wages, according to PM Lee.
The government will look into the issue of delivery employees who do not have basic job security.
