The Court today fined importer Koryo Trading Pte Ltd $30,000 for operating an unauthorized cold shop and illegally importing various meat and fish from Korea.

In February 2020, officers from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) performed an examination at Koryo Trading Pte Ltd and discovered about 4,656 kg of meat and seafood items in an unauthorized cold shop (including meat dumplings, frozen beef, and processed squid).
Further examination found that the meat items were illegally imported from Korea.
Koryo Trading Pte Ltd was also found to have unlawfully imported about 72kg of puffer fish and puffer fish goods from Korea on another occasion, according to investigations.
The illegal consignments were seized.
