With the number of active scams out there, the authorities will always be posting information to remind and warn members of the public on the latest scams.
The Sengkang Neighbourhood Police Centre, recently posted on Facebook a warning of a scam email that uses the logo of the SP group.
The links in the email leak to a website where victims are instructed to key in private information such as credit card number, expiry and CVV code.

Scam Alert – Phishing scam involving Singapore Power.Information was received that there is a non-banking related phishing scam featuring Singapore Power.
Scammers will approach victims via email to inform them of a refund being issued. Victims would then be led to a phishing website to key in personal information such as name, email address, date of birth and credit/debit card information.
– Do not click on any dubious link from an unsolicited source.
– Always check the URLs and confirm the authenticity of the website.
– CVV is used for purchases and not for refunds.
