The driver of a Prime Mover who met with an accident on West Coast Highway today (1 Apr) was taken to the hospital.
Images and footage from the accident shows a vehicle overturned, lying on the side of the road behind the road barrier.
The vehicle was also seen on fire.
SPF alerted
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) was alerted to the accident at almost noon today and they added that the Prime Mover had actually skidded while travelling on West Coast Highway.
The driver, a 68 year old man was taken conveyed conscious to the Hospital.
Investigations on the incident are currently still in progress.
SCDF alerted
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) also said that it was alerted to the prime mover being on fire at almost noon today as well along Pasir Panjang Road which is situated alongside West Coast Highway.
Officers from the SCDF managed to put the fire out with a water jet.
SCDF also added that investigations are in progress as to what caused the fire.
Road closed earlier
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) also mentioned on its Twitter page around 12.10pm that the West Coast Highway flyer is closed due to an accident.
