
On 5 February 2021, the Police said that the 15 years-old boy was taken to the nearest hospital Khoo Teck Puat (KTPH) after the accident and was pronounced dead the next morning.
It was believed that the boy has lost his footing during the high element activity and was dangling in mid-air hold on to by the safety harness. When he was lowered down to the ground, the boy was already unconscious.
Medics from SCDF arrived shortly, they tried to resuscitate him right away and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) before going to KTPH.
Police believed that no foul play was involved during this incident.
All outdoor activities involving high-elements have been suspended since this incident with immediate effect.
