A video emerged online showing a group of schoolgirls savagely attacking a girl at what appears to be a staircase landing.
The victim was seen seated on the floor as the two schoolgirls squatted down and spoke to her in a confrontational manner.
The girl on the right then suddenly slapped her in the face numerous times, as the victim flinched and sat there helplessly.
The two girls then got up and rained blows on the girl, punching her as she laid back and covered her face from the attack.
They then got up after that, seemingly proud of what they have achieved with the assault and presumably thinking that they have done their family proud with their actions.
There were also at least two more persons in the background outside the camera frame, presumably the friends of the two assailants, watching the attack (excluding the videographer).
Potential penalties
According to Chapter 224 of the Penal Code, anyone who disturbs public peace by fighting in public is guilty of committing an affray.
Upon conviction, offenders could face a jail term of up to one year and/or a fine of up to $5,000.
According to Chapter 321 of the Penal Code, anyone who performs an act that causes hurt to a person is guilty of Voluntarily Causing Hurt.
Upon conviction, offenders could face a jail term of up to 3 years and/or a fine of up to $5,000.
