An airline crew from an anonymous airline shared a story about an eerie yet touching incident which he claims to have encountered during one of his flights.
It happened during mid-flight, while most of the passengers were fast asleep and the cabin was dark as the lights were switched off and the windows were all shut.
Here is the story
“I was working on this flight and we had just finished our meal service.
It was a long flight and usually after the meal service, we will keep the lights in the cabin off so as to allow the passengers to have a conducive sleeping environment.
I was alone in the galley during this flight as my other colleagues had went to rest first and another one was checking the lavatories.
This particular elderly man then walked into the galley, introduced himself and asked if I could bring a cup of hot tea to his wife sitting at row 42 as she is feeling cold.
I obliged politely and smiled at him and proceeded to prepare the cup of tea.
He thanked me and disappeared while I was preparing the tea.
I walked to row 42 and served the tea to an elderly lady who was at the seat and she told me that she did not order the tea.
I smiled and told her ‘Oh it was ordered for you by your husband as he mentioned that you are feeling cold.’
Looking surprised, she asked me ‘you saw my husband? are you sure?’, then proceeded to take out her phone and showed me an elderly man’s picture and asked if it the same guy.
I said yes and complimented her for having such a caring and loving husband.
Suddenly, tears started to roll down her face.
She then said ‘i don’t mean to scare you but actually my husband had passed away a few days back and I am bringing his body back home for burial now, his coffin is actually inside the cargo compartment right now.’
I freaked out the moment I heard what she said.”
