According to a media release, all Singapore residents will be entitled to collect a pair of re-usable mask starting from 29 Jun 2020. This comes as part of the battle to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The re-usable mask will be made available for collection at 1,200 vending machines located at community centres, residents’ committee centres and bus interchanges across the island.
Residents will need to bring along their IDs for scanning during the collection at the various vending machines. The collection will start from 29 Jun 2020, 10 AM to 12 Jul 2020 11.59 PM. Each ID will be entitled to 1 mask kit containing a pair of the mask. In order to prevent overcrowding, the members of the public are advised to the website for availability before collection.
Residents are also allowed to collect the mask kit on behalf of their family members along with their IDs. These masks are washable up to 30 times which mean these mask can last for at least 2 months.
Residents who wish to purchase additional mask are able to do so via the website or DBS PayLah! application at S$8 per kit from 25 Jun to 11 Jul 2020. Collection can be done with a QR code sent to the mobile number used for the purchase at any of the vending machines.
