From 7 December onwards, all travellers arriving in Singapore via the air VTLs will be required to take daily ART tests for 7 days after their arrival here.
This update to the VTL comes in response to the spread of the Omicron variant, which has a possibly higher reinfection and transmissibility rate.
MOH updated the regimes for both air and land VTLs, making the 7-days daily ART tests a requirement for all VTL travellers from 6 December 11.59pm.
Under the new rules, all VTL travellers must take a pre-departure test within 2 days prior to their departure for Singapore.
They will also be required to take a PCR test upon arrival, as well as supervised ART tests at a QUick Test Centre or COmbined Test Centre on the 3rd and 7th day.
The 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th days of testing will be a self-administered ART test.
