ALLEGEDLY DRUNK MAN SEEN RESISTING ARREST BY POLICE

A video emerged online showing a man resisting arrest by the police at an unspecified F&B outlet.

The man was purportedly drunk, and was allegedly creating trouble at the establishment, before the police were called in to handle the situation.

Bottles of beers inside buckets were seen around the area, with a group of onlookers outside watching the “show”.

The man was seen forcibly trying to resist arrest as the police officers tried to pin him down, before eventually giving in to the arrest.

Potential penalties

Persons who intentionally obstructs an officer from carrying out his duty and/or resists lawful apprehension by officers face a fine o fup to $20,000, as well as a jail term of up to 3 years.
