A video emerged online showing an errant cyclist blatantly disregarding the traffic light and riding across an 8-lane road junction while the traffic light was red against the pedestrians.
He was seen dashing across the road and almost getting run over by the camcar and causing an accident.
He then stopped and stared at the camcar driver, before carrying on his way.
The incident happened at the junction of Eu Tong Sen Street and Merchant Road on 19 January at about 10.02pm.
Potential penalties
It is an offence to beat a red light in Singapore.
Drivers found guilty of failing to conform to traffic light signals face a composition fine of $400 for light vehicles and $500 for heavy vehicles.
They also face 12 demerit points and if a driver accumulates 24 or more demerit points within 24 months, their license will be suspended.
