A video emerged online by Facebook page Singapore Incidents, showed a huge group of people dining in at a hawker centre in groups of 7 and 8.
The current allowed maximum group size for social gatherings and dining in is 5 pax.
First-time offenders who breach safe distancing measures are fined $300.
For non-compliance with safe management measures under the COVID-19 offenders may be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$10,000, or both.
Update: Singapore Incidents have since clarified that they took the video from a TikTok user and that they are not sure if the video was taken recently or during the “8-pax period”.
