ANG MOH SEEN IN VIRAL VIDEO COVERED IN BLOOD, WAS ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTED

A video went viral online yesterday (4 May) showing a shirtless caucasian man bleeding in his mouth and head at Clarke Quay.

He was seen in the video shocked and in a daze as the bloodied man walked away from a group of men in suits and stumbling around while being disoriented.

The netizen who filmed the incident, Eric, spoke to AsiaOne saying that the incident happened on 1 May and he was trying to enter Highlander Bar and Restaurant along Clarke Quay.

About 4 to 5 men in black suits, purportedly staff from Highlander, had alleged started hitting the man; Eric added that they punched the man, with the blows all being head shots.

Eric added that one of the men allegedly smashed a glass object on the man’s head.

According to AsiaOne, the police have confirmed that three men aged between 39 and 48, have been arrested in relation to the case.

The SCDF also added that they conveyed one person to the SIngapore General Hospital, and Highlander also added that they were aware of the incident but couldn’t comment on the incident as police investigations are still ongoing.

Potential penalties

According to Chapter 321 of the Penal Code, anyone who performs an act that causes hurt to a person is guilty of Voluntarily Causing Hurt.

Upon conviction, offenders could face a jail term of up to 3 years and/or a fine of up to $5,000.
