The security firm that got caught in the middle of the scandal where an Ang Moh claimed that he managed to get into the Marina Bay F1 Circuit in the middle of the night by bribing a security guard, have come out and stated that they are seeking legal advice over the false claim.
The company, Security and Risk Solutions, have told the media that the false claims have severe repercussions for his company, as they put the reputation of the company at stake, and it also puts the security industry in bad light. The company has since conducted their own investigations and interviewed all its officers on duty at the time of the alleged incident, and was satisfied that none of its officers had accepted any form of bribery, and there was also no truth in claims that security guard helped take photos of the couple.
Facebook user Viv Smith posted a photo in a closed Formula 1 interest group on Sunday, showing a couple standing on the race track. The post read: “3am in the morning. Bribed the security guard to let us onto the track. He not only agreed, he took the photo. Non F1 fans won’t understand this, but most of us will.” Smith later retracted his claims, saying there was “no bribery, no corruption, no nothing”. The couple was on the track when the gates were open, and had merely asked the guard to help take a photo of them, he wrote.
Investigations by the Singapore GP on the alleged incident are still ongoing.
