Another Fight Breaks Out at People’s Park Complex as Massage Parlour Boss Reportedly Involved
Another altercation has erupted at People’s Park Complex, marking the latest in a string of disturbances reported at the popular Chinatown shopping centre this month.
Police were alerted to the incident at around 4:35pm on Friday after a fight involving two women broke out within the complex. Officers attended the scene shortly after receiving a request for assistance.
A 53-year-old woman was taken to hospital while conscious. The Singapore Police Force confirmed that she is currently assisting with investigations into a case of voluntarily causing hurt. Investigations remain ongoing.
Witnesses Say Massage Parlour Boss Was Involved
According to eyewitnesses quoted by local Chinese-language media, one of the women involved is believed to be the owner of a massage parlour operating inside People’s Park Complex.
An employee from the establishment reportedly confirmed that the woman had been taken to hospital following the confrontation but declined to provide additional details about what led to the incident.
Witnesses described the other woman as appearing to be in her thirties, while the injured party is believed to be in her fifties. People familiar with the businesses in the area claimed the pair had allegedly been involved in an ongoing dispute for some time before the latest confrontation.
Third Reported Incident Within Weeks
The latest fight is the third reported altercation linked to People’s Park Complex in July, raising concerns over repeated public disturbances at the mall.
Earlier in the month, police responded to an incident inside Beijing Royal Massage Parlour involving two women and a man. The confrontation attracted public attention after videos circulated online.
Roughly two weeks later, another dispute reportedly occurred outside the same massage parlour. That incident allegedly involved one of the women from the earlier confrontation and a female masseuse. Following the clash, a 53-year-old woman was taken to hospital, while a 40-year-old woman was arrested for public nuisance.
Police Investigations Continue
Authorities have not disclosed whether the three reported incidents are directly connected, and no further details regarding the motive behind the latest fight have been released.
