Apple has announced that its Apple Vision Pro headset will be available for sale in Singapore starting June 28, with pre-orders beginning on June 14. This marks the first release of the device outside of the United States, where it was launched in February 2024. The headset will also be available in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and other countries in the coming weeks.
The Apple Vision Pro headset comes with a hefty price tag, starting at S$5,299 for the 256GB model, with higher storage capacities available for S$5,599 and S$5,899. Additional features, such as optical inserts for users who wear glasses, will cost an extra S$219, while AppleCare+ coverage will add S$749 to the total cost.
To ensure a precise fit, customers will need to complete a face scan using an iPhone or iPad with Face ID, which will determine the best Light Seal and headband sizes. Apple has partnered with ZEISS to develop the “ZEISS Optical Inserts” that magnetically attach to the Apple Vision Pro.
The Apple Vision Pro has generated significant interest since its initial reveal in 2023, and Apple has also announced the upcoming VisionOS 2, the successor to the current operating system. The new OS will feature capabilities such as transforming existing photos into “spatial photos” with a three-dimensional effect, and users will be able to update their devices to VisionOS 2 for free starting this fall.
