35-year-old Lionel Messi has successfully led Argentina to its first World Cup win since 1986, with many people calling last night’s match one of the greatest finals of all time.
France’s Kylian Mbappe scored a hattrick of goals (3 goals) to force the match into penalties, with Lionel Messi scoring 2 and Angel Di Maria adding another goal for the Argentines.
Kylian Mbappe also becomes the first person to score a hat trick in a world cup final since English legend Geoff Hurst managed the feat in 1966.
