An Audi driver found himself in a situation when he was unable to stop his car at a red light, prompting him to take a daring maneuver by mounting the curb to avoid a potential head-on collision with the cars ahead.
This hair-raising incident took place on the morning of September 7, in the vicinity of Sembawang Park.
A Startling Sight on Sembawang Road
The incident, captured on camera by another driver, unfolded in a matter of seconds. As the dashcam rolled, the Audi driver, who was following closely behind another car, approached a red traffic light.
The car in front, obeying the traffic signal, began to decelerate, preparing to stop at the intersection.
As the traffic light remained steadfastly red, the Audi driver’s car showed no signs of slowing down. The driver, seemingly unable to apply the brakes in time, made a split-second decision and swerved to the right, mounting the central divider.
The dashcam footage captures the Audi car defying gravity, with most of its body precariously perched on the divider.
The Audi finally came to a halt just behind the car in front, narrowly avoiding what could have been a devastating collision.
