AUNTIE BOOKIE CONVERTS BUS STOP INTO BETTING STATION AT MARSILING

According to the media release, at least 40 people were spotted gathering at a bus stop located near 20 Marsiling Lane Market and Food Centre for illegal betting. It is believed that a bookie had set up a betting station at the bus stop to collect bets for horse racing.

Most of these people were elderly, many of them were seen breaching the circuit breaker measures and some of them were seen holding horse gambling guides. At some point, some were heard telling an auntie to give them their winning. She is believed to be the bookie who set up the betting station.

According to a resident, the betting station was set up early last month. These people will gather at the bus stop from 12 pm to 7 pm and the scene was reported to the police twice.
