AUNTIE GOES NUTS AND THROWS EGGS AT NEIGHBOUR’S FRONT DOOR

A video emerged online showing a woman throwing what appears to be eggs at another resident’s front door at a HDB building.

The woman was seen emerging from a staircase, before straight away throwing the eggs at the neighbour’s door with vigour.

She threw about 4 eggs at the door before going back to the staircase, and the next clip shows the aftermath of her “assault”.

Pieces of egg shells were seen at the resident’s gate, with the eggs scattered all over the resident’s home entrance.

Potential penalties

The stealing, destroying, or damaging of any private and/or public property is an offence under Section 2 of the Vandalism Act.

Persons found guilty of vandalism face a fine of up to $2,000, or a jail term of up to 3 years, and caning of between 3 to 8 strokes.

Littering is an offence in Singapore and is defined as dropping, placing or throwing any article or thing in a public place except a rubbish bin.

Persons caught littering face a fine of up to $2,000 for the first offence as well as the possibility of Corrective Work Order.
