Hi guys. I’ve had a job opportunity come up to move to Singapore and I’m considering taking it. However I am interested in hearing about what my chances are of finding a partner in Singapore, as I know Asians are conservative.
Grew up in Australia with Chinese background
I’m 36 years old and recently single mum of two young kids. I’m Chinese background (grew up in Australia), speak fluent English and Chinese. In terms of looks, I’m obviously not young anymore but I’d still rate myself a solid 8/10 by Asian standards of beauty 😂 (no don’t ask me for a photo, you guys will just have to trust me!).
I’m also independent financially and actually very well-off (but obviously I’d not be walking around advertising this). I think my personality is pretty good and I have lots of friends and am popular in my workplace. When I was younger and single, I never had any trouble getting dates but obviously things are different now.
Looking to find a partner in Singapore
So what do you guys think? Will I be single forever if I move to Singapore? My mum thinks I need to stay in Australia and date white guys who are less prejudiced against single mums but I’ve actually never dated a white guy before. I prefer Chinese or Chinese background guys.
I’d be looking for someone age appropriate ideally (+/- 5) and obviously no problem if they are also divorced/separated/single dads (in fact as long as the divorce wasn’t because they did something horrible, I’d probably prefer someone like this).

In terms of looks and height, I won’t lie and would love it if they could be a bit cute haha but I’m not expecting a model or K-pop star.
I obviously don’t need them to earn a lot of money since I can more than take care of myself but I wouldn’t be looking for some young gold digger either.
In my head I’m picturing a cute single dad that works as a high school maths teacher or in IT or something.
What do you guys think? Am I dreaming lol?
