According to a media release, an Auxilary officer who was dating his supervisor went the wrong way after believing in horoscope reading.
Why so superstitious?
As it turns out the Auxilary Police officer is a 27-year-old Malaysian, he was unhappy that the relationship did not happen and started to beat her up at their workplace pantry. The location of their workplace is at Police Coast Guard’s Brani Base located along Brani Way.
Not satisfied with just physically abusing her, he even threatened to post her nude photos online.
The 27-year-old Malaysian was convicted of 3 charges which include causing hurt and criminal intimidation. In order to protect the victim, the Malaysian will not be named.
Court hearing suggests that the man was a control freaked and was always violent since the start of the relationship, however, the victim continued to date the man for several months.
His extend of control:
- Made her write down her mistakes and treating her like a child
- Do not allow her to use social media over the fear of other guys targeting his girlfriend
Extend of beating her up and threaten to kill her
Feeling angered and provoked against (her), he punched her several times in the head, face and torso, as well as kicked her several times in the shins and thighs. At the time, both of them were in uniform and were armed,” DPP Shana Poon said
After the assault, they spoke on the phone and he even threatened to kill her and distribute her nude photos online.
He was later sentenced to 6 weeks jail but the man intends to appeal against the sentence, lets hope he gets more
