During festive seasons like Chinese New Year, dried meat ‘Bak Kwa’ has always been one of the more popular items that people will buy. But sadly this year some customers from a certain online seller failed to receive their products after payment has been made.
Police said that the scam this time involve the Bak Kwa brand “Hock Moon Hiong”.
The online seller would post the on Facebook stating that there will be a sale of Bak Kwa in Singapore. Anyone that decided to order will have to order through Facebook and full payment to be made first through PayNow or bank transfer.
After receiving payments from the victims, the online seller will go missing and blocked the victims.
Singapore Police Force advises members of the public to buy products from a reputable and known sources in Singapore.
