The arrest took place on June 3, 2025, at approximately 12:30 PM, with police charging the suspect, Anon “Joy” Chiamchan, with multiple offenses.
Details of the Incident
Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, along with officials from the Metropolitan Police Bureau, led the operation that resulted in Anon’s apprehension. He was found in possession of a semi-automatic .45 caliber Remington Rand 1911A1 firearm, a single .45 caliber bullet, a magazine, a brown leather gun holster, and the clothing he wore during the incident.
The shooting incident, which occurred near Wat Pradu on Pracharat Sai 1 Road, was part of a brawl involving a group of youths that escalated around 1 AM on May 31. Anon’s Confession and Charges
Upon being summoned to the police station, Anon voluntarily brought his firearm, ammunition, and the clothes he wore during the incident. He confessed to firing the shots after being threatened by an individual named Deaw, who allegedly brandished a gun at him and his brother. In response to the threat, Anon retrieved his firearm from home and discharged three shots into the air, after which Deaw fled the scene on a motorcycle.
Based on the evidence and witness testimonies, Anon has been charged with several offenses, including:
- Possession of a firearm and ammunition without a permit.
- Carrying a firearm in public without permission or a valid reason.
- Unlawfully discharging a firearm in a public area.
Anon was informed of his rights and the charges against him before being taken into custody for further legal proceedings.

The police have clarified that the conflict was rooted in a youth dispute and was not connected to illegal loan activities or debt-related issues.
