BANGKOK MAN WITH KNIFE FOLLOWS WOMAN TO HER HOME & R***, ESCAPES IN BLANKET

A disturbing incident in Bangkok has raised fresh concerns over public safety after a man armed with a machete allegedly forced his way into a woman’s home and attempted to sexually assault her before falling from a second-floor balcony.

The incident reportedly took place in the Taling Chan district, where the suspect is believed to have been under the influence of drugs at the time. Authorities later confirmed that his erratic behaviour may have been linked to substance-induced hallucinations.

Footage circulating online shows the woman walking towards her residential block, unaware she was being followed. Moments later, a barefoot man holding a machete appeared behind her and trailed her into the building, escalating the situation rapidly.

WOMAN MANAGES TO ESCAPE DURING ORDEAL

According to local reports, the suspect allegedly followed the victim up to her unit and forced his way inside. He is said to have threatened her with the weapon and blocked the door using furniture, trapping her inside the home.

The man reportedly ordered the woman to remove her clothes and attempted to assault her. Despite the terrifying circumstances, the victim remained composed and managed to buy time by telling the suspect that someone was downstairs.

This quick thinking created a crucial opportunity for her to escape. She was later seen fleeing the unit wrapped in a blanket, indicating the severity of the situation she had just endured.

Residents in the area had already alerted authorities after noticing suspicious activity, prompting a swift response from police.

POLICE STANDOFF ENDS WITH FALL FROM BALCONY

When officers arrived, they found the suspect in a highly agitated and unstable state. He had positioned himself on a second-floor balcony, holding a machete estimated to be about 50cm long against his chest.

Despite repeated attempts by officers to calm him down and persuade him to surrender, the man refused to comply. His behaviour suggested he was not fully aware of his surroundings.

He later admitted to consuming a large quantity of drugs, which he claimed led to hallucinations and loss of control.

During the standoff, officers attempted to de-escalate the situation by offering him water. However, in a sudden turn of events, the man lost his footing and fell from the balcony, sustaining injuries to his hip.

INVESTIGATIONS CONTINUE INTO DRUG-RELATED INCIDENT

The suspect was immediately taken into custody following the fall, and the machete was seized as evidence. He is expected to face multiple charges, including attempted rape and unlawful entry.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the case, including the extent of drug use and whether additional offences may be involved.

The incident has sparked renewed discussions around home security, personal safety, and the dangers of drug abuse, particularly in densely populated urban environments like Bangkok.

While the victim managed to escape without reported physical injuries, the psychological impact of such an ordeal is likely to be significant, highlighting the importance of community vigilance and rapid emergency response.
