BANGLA WORKER KILLED AFTER BEING CRUSHED BY BUNDLE OF STEEL BARS

A 31-year-old Bangladeshi construction worker was crushed by a bundle of steel bars that fell on him, he later died from his injuries.

According to The Straits Times, the steel bars were being lifted by a crane at the time of the accident.

The tragic incident happened at a construction site at Bedok Reservoir Park where a Home Team clubhouse was being built for NSMen.

The incident happened at 900 Bedok North Road.

The police received a call for assistance on 11 December at around 9.30am and the stricken worker was then conveyed to Changi General Hospital.

He was an employee of Chin Lee Construction, and the occupier of the site, CMC Construction, have been told by MOM to stop all lifting operations while they and the police investigate the incident.
