
The Ministry of Manpower said that a 37-year-old Bangladeshi migrant worker was killed in a work-related accident at a construction site at Ubi.

He was helping a co-worker lift some steel frames using an excavator fitted with a concrete breaker attachment.
The attachment then fell on him, and he was then taken to hospital.
He eventually succumbed to his injuries and died.
The worker’s employer, Right Construction, has since been told to stop the use of excavators at the site.

MOM is currently investigating the incident.
