She went through 4 surgeries for injuries suffered to her head, eyes and hands during the vicious slashing attack on 14 April.

The 42-year-old woman is now recovering in the community with volunteers sending her food every day, and will be needing two more eye surgeries to regain her eyesight.

A fundraising campaign was also launched by crowd-funding website Ray of Hope on 10 May to help the victim with her medical and living expenses during her recovery.

The campaign exceeded the target of $105,343.86, raising $105,395.87 at the time of writing, with about $1,800 already being disbursed to Han earlier this month.

The target amount will also be adjusted accordingly should her medical fees continue to increase, and Han will be receiving the money monthly for 12 months for her loss of income.

Ray of Hope is also working with Han’s employer, Edmund Tan of Chong Qing (Origin) Steamboat, to settle her final medical bills, and are waiting for the insurance paperwork to be finalised.
