My relative regularly travels to China.
When he was away, he was billed transactions with a website Mobitrans, that he has never authorized and that he has no knowledge of. As he does not keep his Singtel bills, he is not sure for how long he has been billed charges from Mobitrans by Singtel.
He is not the only person who has been scammed and had to go through the unpleasant experience with Singtel, which asked him to contact Mobitrans himself to deal with the issue.
I am including several links about Mobitrans, that reveal that this scam is not a recent one, that the company has gained notoriety as there have been innumerable complaints to Singtel about the company.
One of the links was from a woman whose mother was similarly billed by Singtel.
I wonder how many Singtel subscribers have been unaware and blindly paying for the rogue charges. And how many non-IT-savvy elderlies have also been affected.
My concern is with this long history of unauthorized scam billings by Mobitrans, that Singtel must, therefore, be very aware. If so, why is Singtel has not ceased partnership with Mobitrans?
