Tourists in Bali are unsuspectingly ingesting dog meat sold as chicken, a new account has exposed.
Animals Australia started the enquiry into ‘Bali’s unseen meat trade – and its alarming link to Australian leisure industry.’
It establish that Australian tourists staying at the Indonesian island were being peddled dog meat from viciously slaughtered creatures in popular tourist spots.
The inquiry found that some of the dogs had been poisoned, choked or clubbed to death.

Consumption of dog meat is allowed in Indonesia, but slaughtering of creatures in a unpleasant way or serving meat tainted with toxic is against the law.
