Me 29(f) partner 30(m) have been together on and off for about 11 years.
We moved away two years ago from both our families which cause us a lot of pain and healing.
My partner has been working in the trades of woodworking mostly and in the past year, he left one company to go to another company.
In June he switched over this newer company seemed to make him much more happier in a sense. He would come home and be so eager to tell me how his day went and I loved hearing every single story he told me. After seeing how much his previous employer treated him. After work talk became my most cherished time of the day.
Note fast forward to a week ago. He was home and got a text from his boss saying he was being let go cause he wasn’t really fitting in the role. Which is weird…. To me at least cause of all those stores he has told me about him and his boss getting a long great and they all have been so welcoming and showing him the ropes… so I’m not sure what he was feeding me for months. Got his boss to just let him go like that.. just seems very off and out of place.
Anyways, I’m trying to be their for him but I have this overwhelming feeling that this odd going to go sour.. we talked for a couple of hours on the couch and decided together that he should take some time to gather what he wants to do in life.
I’m maybe I’m just afraid with inflation going up I won’t be able to do it on my own.
