A video emerged online showing a BMW not giving way and running over a woman who was crossing the road at a traffic crossing.

The incident happened at the junction between Sims Avenue East and Jalan Kembangan on 11 January at around 10.50pm.
The driver of the BMW was supposed to give way to the pedestrian at the discretionary right turn junction.
But the driver failed to do so and ran over the woman, who was seen being thrown in a heap onto the ground.
Potential penalties
It is an offence for vehicles not to give way to pedestrians at a traffic crossing.
