THAILAND: In the southern region on Thailand, Songkhla, On Friday morning, three explosive ordnance disposal officials were injured by a bomb blast while operating in a location where a villager’s leg was blown off by a bomb that was underground.
A bomb squad of three members were deployed to remove the bombs in the area but an accident caused the bomb to go off and all three members were injured.
1 of them lost both his legs, 1 had major eye damaged and the third experienced chest discomfort.
The bomb squad was operating near a railway bridge in Chana district’s tambon Ban Na, which was secured by troops and police.
The location, as well as the adjoining Nam Khem-Bo Ton Sae crossroads, had been roped off for an in-depth investigation.
