An 18-year-old pleaded guilty earlier today after he brought a knife to ITE College East for his friend to attack another student.
Straits Times reported that the weapon used in the case is a bread knife.
Background story:
The male victim was slashed by a few “unknown men” on 16 February at Simei, and the police received a report about that incident at 1.15 pm.
The victim allegedly had a dispute with one of the suspects and was thusly slashed.
Another 18-year-old man is suspected to have passed the knife to the assailant, and he allegedly joined the former in kicking and punching the victim, along with 2 other suspects aged 17 and 20.
The suspects were swiftly arrested within 24 hours after officers from Bedok Police Division established their identities through CCTV images.
Penalties
If the 18-year-old is found guilty of the crime he can be jailed for a maximum of 7 years and/or fined and/or rotan.
