A Singaporean guy recently posted on Facebook on how he is thinking twice on marriage to his current girlfriend as she has unrealistic requirements after getting married. She stated on how she wants to be a tai tai after marriage.

My GF is that rich that can afford anything she wants that is buying luxury goods every day. I realized that she has been living in her dream as she watches too much drama. I was planning to propose to her this month and to avoid being “SIA SUAY” I mention once when we were talking casually.
She told me this “I don’t see a future with you yet cause this is not the ideal kind of future I want. Which is having a family who she can share here worries about, being a tai tai, staying in big houses, kids must go for private education rather than gov, going overseas with both families, and flying business class minimum when going on trips as she has been taking it since she was born so I will not settle for anything less than all this.”
I am a guy who has just started work about 5 months ago and clearly I am not able to afford this kind of lifestyle she wants. My family likes her but they once told me to be careful of her as she will be a burden in the future due to her current spending habits. I brush the matter off but this has been affecting me lately.
