A post on Facebook mentioned that a tree was uprooted early this morning at Choa Chu Kang Crescent around 7.00am to 7.10am.
A boy and his sister was walking to school at that time and he saw the tree almost fall onto his sister.
Luckily his sister was walking a few steps faster and therefore it became a close shave instead of a fatal accident.
The post also urges the Town Council to help arrange with NEA to check the trees around the area for the safety of the residents.
Here is the post in full
“Fallen tree branch between 681 open space walkway and exercise area.
Around 0700-0710 this morning. Missed my daughter who was walking to school by 2-3 steps behind her.
My son watched it falling while walking from the back.
Since TC is watching over the posts here. Please do help to arrange with NEA to check the trees around here for residents safety.
Thank you for your attention.
And please be more alert everyone. Especially since the rainy weather is picking up.”
