BRUCELLOSIS DISEASE OUTBREAK IN LANZHOU CHINA, MORE THAN 6,000 TESTED POSITIVE

According to a media release, more than 6000 people has been infected by the Brucellosis disease in Lan Zhou China. The outbreak was reportedly caused by a leak that happened at a vaccine plant. As of now, there are 6,620 people tested positive out of the 55,725 people who has gone through the test.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), those who are positive of the disease will have flu-like symptoms. The disease can be transmitted through direct contact with animals, consuming contaminated animal products or airborne.

In a statement released by the local official, the source of the disease came from a local factory. It was reported that the factory has used expired disinfectant when they are producing Brucellosis vaccine. This has caused the disease to leak from the factory and eventually causing an outbreak.
