She was accused of taking discarded fries from the trash and deceitfully mixing them with freshly cooked ones before serving them to unsuspecting customers.

The Disturbing Discovery

The incident came to light on 9th July, when two vigilant customers at a Burger King outlet in South Carolina noticed Major’s suspicious behavior, according to The Daily Mail.

They witnessed her picking up fries from the trash and serving them alongside the regular ones to customers. Horrified by this blatant act of deception, the customers immediately confronted Major, leading to a chaotic scene within the premises.

As tensions escalated, the concerned customers chose to confront Major about her unethical practices. However, their confrontation with her did not end well.

Ignoring the advice of the police officers who arrived at the scene, the customers continued their protest and confrontation, leading to their subsequent arrest for disorderly conduct.

In the days following the incident, Burger King Headquarters received troubling reports and suspicions about Major’s actions.

Two days later they reported their findings to the police, accusing Major of the malicious tampering. They also clarified that the customers who confronted Major earlier were, in fact, victims of her crime.

The Daily Mirror reported that the accusations against Jamie Major were grave. She was alleged to have taken discarded fries from the trash bin and secretly combined them with a fresh batch of fries, concealing the deceptive act.

Essentially, customers unknowingly consumed the tainted fries, completely unaware of the unscrupulous practices taking place behind the scenes.

As a result of these disturbing revelations, the fast-food chain took immediate action and fired Jamie Major from her position as a manager, according to Fox Business.

Major’s actions did not escape the scrutiny of the law. On 17th July, she was formally charged with malicious tampering, and if found guilty, she faces up to 20 years’ imprisonment.
