BUS CRASHED INTO TAXI STAND @ YISHUN, SHELTER COLLAPSED AND 3 INJURED

A video emerged online showing a double decker bus crashed into a taxi stand.

The shelter of the taxi stand collapsed as a result.

The incident happened outside Yishun MRT Station earlier today.

The SCDF said that they received a call for help at Yishun Avenue 2 at about 1pm.

No one was trapped inside the bus.

3 people were injured however, with the 63-year-old driver as well as 2 female pedestrians aged 60 and 64, being conveyed to hospital.

Tower Transit said in a Facebook post that the bus driver has been suspended, they said:

“We are in the process of getting in touch with the injured and their families and assisting the authorities with an investigation.”

“To those affected in any way by the accident, we’re very sorry.”

The police said that police investigations are currently ongoing.
