BUS DRIVER WHO ALMOST RAN OVER PEDESTRIAN, SUSPENDED BY SMRT

A bus driver who almost ran over a woman crossing the road has since been suspended by SMRT.

The incident happened on 23 April at Choa Chu Kang, when a bus 190 failed to give way to a woman crossing during a flashing green man.

The woman jumped away and dodged the bus.

The director of SMRT Buses, Lee Yong Heng, said that the bus captain has been suspended pending investigation.

He added that safety is a top priority for them.
